Welcome to my new adventure! Over the last 22 months I have been encouraged by reading blogs and articles written by widows. To hear their stories, watch their journeys to find joy and even their struggles have helped me to not feel alone on my darkest days.
I have been encouraged, strengthened and even nudged a little to pick myself up when I felt as though I couldn’t get through another day.
My prayer for this website, these blog posts, is to share a little hope and encouragement to others. Not just to widows, but to anyone who may come across my little spot here.
As much as reading the journeys of others and reading stories similar to mine, my true comfort has come from our Lord. I believe with my whole heart if I did not have my faith in Christ I would not be here today. Literally, I would have taken my life that same evening my world was turned upside down.
Yet, I knew that the Lord had a plan for our boys and me. I knew that He would never leave us and He would never forsake us even in the midst of my feeling like I could never go on.
I can’t wait to share my story with you. You will not even believe how far our boys and I have come since that awful day, June 14, 2016. We have been through hell and high water, figuratively and literally.
